The 4th leg of the Marina G. Dayrit Lecture Series took place on the 14th of September at the SMX Convention Center. It was attended by librarians from school, college, university, special and public libraries as well as students from LIS schools.
Dr. Reysa C. Alenzuela of the University of South Pacific was the resource speaker. As part of the Marina G. Dayrit Lecture Series 2018 “The Push to Research and Publish: Reskilling Librarians towards Becoming Practitioner-Authors, this 4th lecture aims to achieve the following objectives:
(1) Appreciate the purpose of research/ getting published;
(2) Understand and distinguish the various avenues for publishing and disseminating research findings, and;
(3) Compose successful abstracts and proposals for journal articles and conferences.
